10/6 Misasa at Mitsuwa Marketplace (Santa Monica, CA)
Japanese/food court. I hear that Mitsuwa renovated this area to look 
a lot cleaner. I was set on the tonkatsu set (breaded pork instead of chicken, as in chicken katsu) but the curious foodie in me wanted to try the salted mackeral set. It’s grilled mackeral, potato salad and shredded cabbage on one dish, pickled radishes and cucumber in another, miso soup, bowl of rice, steamed tofu with green onions and soy sauce, sencha (appetizer tea that tastes almost like iced coffee)
